Vaccination against Corona Virus

Facing of the health crisis, all Korian teams have mobilised and adapted to ensure the health safety of residents, patients and their families.

At Korian, 99% of residents and 97% of employees are vaccinated.

In France, the last few weeks have been marked by the introduction of the health pass and the obligation for healthcare workers to be vaccinated before 15 September. These decisions have helped us to increase the level of vaccination, which was already very high at the end of July. The milestone of 20,000 employees fully vaccinated with both doses was passed.

 

Generalization of the health pass

Since 9 August 2021 for persons over 18 years of age and from 30 September for minors over 12 years of age, the "health pass" is mandatory in retirement homes and hospitals until at least 15 November 2021. The "health pass" consists of a complete vaccination status, the result of a negative PCR or antigenic test or self-test under the supervision of a health professional less than 72 hours old or a person's certificate of recovery. Anyone wishing to enter the establishment will therefore have to present their "health pass".

 

Vaccination obligation for employees in the health sector

Since 15 September 2021, the vaccination obligation has been applied to all professionals in the health sector, to all nursing and non-healthcare personnel in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and establishments for people with disabilities. It also applies to all professionals and volunteers who work in contact with the elderly or frail, including those working at the home.

 

A campaign for 3rd injection spreading in Europe

In France, Germany and Spain, the third dose vaccination campaign has already been launched and is being rapidly rolled out. 100% of residents have received the third dose in Spain, 42% in France and more than a third in Germany. This campaign is aimed at the elderly and not at the personnel.

 

Maintaining social life in institutions

In the Korian network, outings and free visits are the rule. The Group has always been very careful to maintain the various social activities and visits in all its establishments, for the quality of life and comfort of residents and patients.
