To support independent bookshops during this period of containment measures, Korian, in agreement with the Syndicat de la Librairie Française, has chosen to promote the "www.librairiesindependantes.com" site as widely as possible among its 22,000 residents and their families.

This book search engine is one of the first in France with a catalogue of 20 million books available. It brings together 1,200 bookshops. Buying books via this site contributes to the life of independent bookshops and to the maintenance of a local cultural offer.

To promote this site, Korian has decided to create a dedicated tab on its "Korian Generations" application that links its 22,000 French residents to their families. The purchase of books for oneself or one's family in the bookshops near the nursing homes is thus made easier. At a time when the health crisis continues to make itself felt in the country, with strong consequences on social ties and the mental health of the most fragile, strengthening access to culture, and in particular to reading, is an important responsibility.

"In these difficult times for our residents and independent shops, we are happy to be able to contribute in our own way to promoting culture and supporting independent bookshops by mobilising our entire network," said Nicolas Mérigot, Executive Vice President of Korian France.
