Korian inaugurates Les Rives de la Zorn nursing home in Saverne

The Korian Les Rives de la Zorn home near the town centre of Saverne in the Bas Rhin department in Eastern France was inaugurated today in the presence of Charles-Antoine Pinel, Korian France Seniors Division Executive VP; Patrick Hetzel, Elected Representative of the Bas Rhin; Frédéric Bierry, Chairman of the Conseil Départemental de Strasbourg; Stéphane Leyenberger, Mayor of Saverne; and Virginie Cayré, Deputy Regional Director for Eastern France for the French Regional Health Authority.

“This facility illustrates Korian’s propensity to offer a diverse range of care solutions tailored to elderly people’s degree of independence. This setup has been made possible by the expertise of our teams, who we train throughout their career to care for vulnerable elderly people” indicated Charles-Antoine Pinel, the Korian group’s France Seniors Division Executive VP.

The long-term care nursing home has 75 beds, including an Aloïs area specially designed for people with cognitive disorders which has a capacity of 28 places. The assisted living facility located in one wing of the building comprises eight studios.

The facility’s care offering is based on Korian’s unique Positive Care approach that the group has adopted to support and care for its residents. It includes the use of non-medicinal treatments such as calming multisensory stimulation in the Snoezelen room, and the whole team is trained in the Montessori method.

The home is outwardly focused on the neighbouring community and has formed partnerships with local facilities such as nearby nursery Le Pays Enchanté or the Ecole des Sources school to create opportunities for younger and older generations to mix.
