Korian Glanum clinic awarded A-grade certification

The Korian Glanum post-acute and rehabilitation care clinic in St Rémy de Provence in the South of France has been awarded an A-grade certification by France’s national authority for health, the HAS (Haute Autorité de Santé). This rating, which is awarded for a six-year period, acknowledges the work put in by all the staff and the quality of care provided by the clinic. The Korian Glanum post-acute and rehabilitation care clinic is specialised in functional rehabilitation, musculoskeletal conditions and post-acute care.

The certification is based on an assessment procedure conducted by the HAS among healthcare facilities. The HAS is independent from the facility and its supervisory bodies; it oversees the level of care and services provided to patients, quality improvement efforts, and the safety of the care delivered at the facility.

After undergoing a thorough audit, facilities are certified on a scale ranging from A to D. As A is the highest score, this rating comes as official recognition by an independent public authority of the quality of care provided at the Korian Glanum clinic.

More specifically, the rating is awarded on the basis of the facility’s medical services, monitoring procedures, paperwork compliance, and input from patient organisations. The audit process, which places the priority on the patient, also looks at quality and risk management, patients’ rights and their care journey, the way patient records are handled, and medication management.

For Ghislaine Rey, the manager of the Korian Glanum clinic, “This A-grade certification rewards the hard work put in by all our teams – medical, paramedical, pharmaceutical, administrative, hospitality, technical and catering – all of whom constantly demonstrate the utmost professionalism. It is also a recognition of the engagement and dedication of the leaders and members of the working groups during the run-up to the visit, and I’d like to thank them for everything they’ve done. We are incredibly proud and happy to see that these efforts have been rewarded. This certification will give us a boost as we continue our ongoing quest for quality in the care we provide, for the benefit of our patients.”
