Korian and Monoprix launch « Passerelles », a professional reconversion program to facilitate Care Assitant profession access

Care homes

Five weeks after having launched « Passerelles program » with Derichebourg Multiservices company, we are speeding up its development by signing a partnership with the Monoprix company.

The Passerelles program, carried out as part of the " Transitions Collectives" scheme, deployed by the public authorities since January 15, 2021, enables employees from the services sector to access the profession of care assistant. This operation was presented on May 19, 2021 to 62 Monoprix employees, in the presence of Elisabeth Borne, Minister of Labor, Employment and Integration.

These employees, with an average age of 40 and an average length of service of 11 years, work as main cashiers, cashier hosts, self-service employees, receptionists or administrative agents.

The aim of " Transitions Collectives " is to anticipate economic change by supporting voluntary employees in professional retraining in a recruiting sector. The concerned employees keep their salary and their employment contract while benefiting from a training financed together by the companies and the State, with the aim of entering a promising occupation in the same catchment area.

As a result of a 14-month training course in one of our facilities, employees will become full-time care assistants on permanent contracts once they have passed their diplom.

Recruitment is one of the priority objectives of Korian group, which is faced with a increasing need for care staff to support the growing number of dependent elderly people.

"Passerelles offers a new job and solid future perspectives to employees affected by the reorganisation of their company. It is the natural continuation of the numerous innovations launched by Korian in the recent years to attract new skilled workers in health professions, where the demands are increasing. In 2025, the sector in France will need 500,000 people," emphasises Sophie Boissard, Korian group CEO.
